I just recently got a parrot, and i'm not sure what kind, my dad found him and we're trying to figure out what kind he is can any1 give any tips on how to tell what the parrot is?[/img]

Well, what does he look like? What colour is he? How big is he? Is there anyway you can take a picture of him and post it here? We need more information to be able to help you.

Also, what area are you in - I know in South Florida, we have an abundance of Quaker parrots that roam wild.

have a look at some pics on bird breeder sites to see if any look familiar, or post a pic (copy and paste the URL from a photo bank on a reply page, you can download pics from your computer onto "photobucket" for free, then highlight the URL and click on the image button above)

I had a paraquet for two days before I bought my Rosella... he flew away while my father was trying to adjust his swing.. I never even had the time to give him a name. Sad

the bad side of it is that 150euros literally flew away.
the good side is that I had him only for two days... I can't imagine how depressed I would be if I had him...say...for two years...
