Dangers in toy makeing

I want to make my Cockatiel some toys but I don't want to give her something that is bad.

When making toys out of beads, is there something I should avoid when I purchase them? The lead thing really scares me.

What is the best string to use?

What should I avoid???

Help!!!

Avoid galvanised metals. Make little birdies very sick that will.
