| Home made bird play station |
|
|
My parents made a bird tree for my senegal for Christmas. However, they couldn't wait another week so they gave it to him on the weekend. They had recently pruned the apple trees in their backyard (which had not been treated with insecticides or other chemical sprays). They cut off a large branch and stuck it in a bucket, after it had sufficiently dried out. Then they poured cement in the bucket and covered it with rocks - voila - a bird play station. My sennie absolutely loves it. He has completely abandoned his old store bought tree for this new natural wood tree. I will post a pic over christmas. |

Sounds great Kellyanne I've done something similar for my sennie, except I have it in an old heavy duty Christmas tree stand. She basically lives on her tree all day long |

sounds great!! My birds have a tree of maple wood, without chemicals and all that, and they LOVE it! I covered it with toys and foraging things. I put some baby plastic rings going from one branch to the other. Sometimes my sennie tries to cross it which is really quite funny to watch.
Your tree sounds great.

Did you post a picture yet of the tree playstand your parents made? Sure would like to see what it looks like. Sounds great.
