Well, I dont have all the pics atm so I'll just give a general run down on my animals! Sorry for the fuzzy photos, I had to scan them onto my comp and resize them. More photos will be coming soon as I now have film and can take some.

1) Chirpy - My Peachface Lovebird

My birdie.JPG

I have had my little girl since I was 7 and she was born. My mum was breeding lovebirds and she gave me one. I starting handling her when she started getting her pinfeathers. She thinks she is human. Her favourite pastime is chewing paper into thin strips. Her favourite spot is in the sleeve of whatever shirt I happen to be wearing at the time. She love seeding grasses and bathing in her water dish. She was my second ever pet! She is one of the family and we all love her to bits!

2) Shrek - My Indian Ringneck

This cheeky boy came to me through my last boss. He was an escaped pet and found his way to my boss's house one day. She was going to keep him but I managed to convince her that he was better off with me than in a small wooden ornamental cage! I think too that she got sick of him driving her dogs balmy. He would talk to them and they thought an intruder was in the house. Lol. Im not sure how old he is but his ring isnt fully formed or very bold yet so I assume he is still a youngster. He has quite a vocabulary and has recently started mimicking our laughter. Mum called him hairy legs the other day and he laughed along with us. And a couple of days ago me splashed my friend with water then laughed at her! He isnt fully tame yet but I am working on it. He also has a major crush on my Lovebird. He calls her pretty and spends alot of his time showing off to her, especially when she is bathing. He eats everything and has a wonderful personality. He is my brother's fav!

3) Lucy and Ben- My Chinese Painted Quail

The poor little girl has been through so much. She has survived 2 cat attacks on the cage when all the others were killed and she is still going strong. Im determined to make her life better than it has been. I have built a solid, cat proof cage to put her and my diamond doves in. I got her a fella named Ben who is a silver colour. They are doing brilliantly in their new cage and have laid currently got 10 babies, she even hatched 7 of them out herself. She has made friends with the doves and all is well. They are alot less nervous than they used to be and they are even getting used to me!

4) Pixie & Dixie - My Diamond Doves

I saw these tiny doves in the pet shop and was enchanted! They are so gorgeous and delicate. They have settled into thier new cage and are currently sitting on eggs for the 3rd time. Hopefully this lot is fertile!

5) Tess - My Border Collie x Heeler

Tessie.JPG

I got my wonderful dog as a puppy from my uncle. We went to visit them in Maitland and when I saw her, I fell in love. I was so upset when I had to leave her (we didnt have a car and had to catch a train back home). I cried and my uncle felt pity so he sent her to coffs with a truck driver friend who was heading our way. She is about 10 years now and I couldnt ask for a better dog or friend. She is the only dog I have ever had and she is a family member!

6) Lillian & Lola - My Cats

Lil and Lol again.JPG (This photo is an old one when they were kittens. Its the best one I have.)

We got our girls from the RSPCA shelter in our area. We went to get one and mum wanted Lil. But when I saw Lola I started begging. Needless to say, I got my way and I love my kitties. They are a couple of years old now and can be extremely naughty  but I love them ne way!

7) Phoenix, Casper & Rufus - My Siamese Fighting Fish

I was collecting them for awhile and this is what is left of my collection. They dont have a very long lifespan. I love these fish because they are beautiful and easy to care for. They all have different personalities and they build really amazing nests. I keep them in plastic tanks with gravel and a few plants each. They love thier set ups and I reckon they appreciate the extra space I give them.

8) Cloud, Misty, Crumpet, & Tammy - My Mice

All of these girls are manx mice (tailless). They are very cute and look a bit like mini hampsters. I used to breed mice and at one time I had around 50 but now its just these girls. I finally built them a cage where they can get sun but still be out of the reach of my cats. They adore thier new cage. I love mice. They have the most adorable personalities!

Well, that's them for now! If you havent guessed by now, Im an animal person!
