African Wood Shredder

(I don't exclusively shred African wood; I'm actually African, and I shred most types of wood.)

Hi!  My name is Baby and I'm a 6 year old African Meyers Parrot.  I spent the first 5 years of life with my first Mommy, and I was adopted in November 2004 by my current Mommy & Daddy.

I love girls and am not too sure about boys.  I like lots of affection and I'm fascinated with the television.  I attack the telephone when it rings, and I often attack any blinking light.  I make lots of funny noises (I purr, I laugh like Mommy, I whistle like Mommy, and I land in between Daddy & Mommy to make sure Daddy knows Mommy is mine) and I like to pretend I'm speaking English, even though I'm really just mumbling - Mommy & Daddy think it's so cute!

I chew & shred lots of wood, making millions of toothpicks for all to enjoy.  Like most of my relatives, I enjoy dunking my food in my water dish, creating big messes a couple times a day.  I have multiple water dishes, and a large one for bathing!  Mommy says it will make me fat, but Daddy likes to give me a peanut every morning before he goes to work.  Mommy thinks it's just every other day, but Daddy spoils me with treats daily!

I dine on 3 types of organic pellets, fresh fruits & vegetables, as well as nuts, dried fruit & dried vegetables.  Sometimes Mommy gives me a taste of her granola bar.  Each morning I help Mommy eat her breakfast cereal (Wheaties, Total, Rice Chex, Cheerios, granola or oatmeal).  I also help her eat dinner when Daddy is still at work.

This is my Great Great Great Great Great Grandmother on an African stamp.  She's a real beauty!

I enjoy foraging through the fruit bowl and selecting my own organic favorites for Mommy to peel for me and my sisters.

How can you tell if it's a girl or boy?
