Hi there! My name is Bandit, but I'm sure you've heard of me by now. If not, then you are a complete and utter loser that is not paying any attention to the news stories about the smartest, prettiest, awesomest, and loveliest conure in the world. Or you are just ignoring them out of jealousy... But no worries- you'll catch up as soon as I fulfill my plans of taking over the world. *heads into speech* As president of the universe, I pledge to eliminate all stubborn humans that refuse to accept the high intelligence levels of us parrots. I also pledge to clean the Earth of all pollution, tree killers, and global warming... and to save the orcas. But that's just my rough draft. So, anyways, a bit more about me: I am a roughly 10 year old Nanday conure. My owner bought me when I was about to turn eight. I am assumed to be a boy, but lately Maria has been having doubts on how certain her guess was. I, personally, am quite offended that she could confuse my gender so easily when I am soooooo obviously a..... boy? Maria also claims that I have a temper. Ok, so I do like to wake her up at six each morning and then accidentaly seem to forgot to act as an alarm clock when she is late for school. And I do bite her father.... and mother..... and sister.... ok, fine, sometimes I can also be stubborn and refuse to play with any toys she buys me... or eat the cuttlebone she offers me. And  yes, my 24/7 singing can be heard from three blocks away... but you gotta say that, otherwise, I am a pretty spiffy bird and that her complaints are completely irrational. I mean, me- annoying? Yeah right! That's like saying the Beatles never existed. I am a completely trained parrot. I don't require a closed cage or fully trimmed wings (unfortunately, I do have them since Maria just happens to be completely paranoid...) as flying anywhere is completely pointless and boring (except to beds or tables filled with food). Maria bought me from (get this-) a flower shop. The owner of the store was also my owner at the time. Maria's mom had been shopping for a christmas tree and happened to find me instead (not that she was complaining. I am a much prettier shade of green than any christmas trees you could find). My favorite hobby is sharing computer time with Maria. The Internet is such a marvelous invention. Favorite foods: I love guava, apples, bread, nuts, strawberries, grapes, millet, spaghetti, chicken, fish, waffles, potatoes, etc. I will eat practically anything except bird treats and cuttlebone. Yuck! I do, however, harbor a certain love for alchoholic drinks. Just kidding... ~Bandit (Look for me in the presidential campaigns! And Vote! Or else...) P.S. I would also like to take a minute to mourn the sad loss of Alex, the most amazing African Grey that has ever roamed the planet. Alex, we miss you dearly. *Note: More pictures available upon demand. ** No parrots were harmed while taking the last photo.
