  Hello all!

This is my first homepage and my first time of putting our family "down on paper" so I beg your patience.  We are the proud companions of 6 amazing birds and it all happened in about 1 year.  The first to join us was Freddie. A dear friend of mine had just moved to an apartment after a bad break-up and had to keep Freddie in her bathroom due to the screams. She knew we didn't have birds at the time but that I had before and loved them.  Freddie stole our hearts instantly. She's a clown alright! When she's happy, the feathers go up and she does what we call the "Freddie bop".(2nd pic) She can really cut a rug!! She loves tearing up paper and rolling in it, cool whip and taking showers. (3rd pic)

A few months later, we decided to go to a local bird show. We were really there to look but this Elvis was so special. He doesn't like to be held alot but loves whistling, staying out of his cage most of the day and his own treats like millet, eggs & oatmeal cookies. The 1st pic is age 3 months. The 2nd pic is 9 months old.Elvis has really became smitten with Sprinkles (you'll meet soon). He sings so pretty for her and she's begining to except the sweet talk better!!

In Nov. of this year, I got a call from another friend who knew of a B&G Macaw needing a good home. Angel was in a home with people who couldn't give her time she deserves. I can't believe they gave her up but I do respect them for thinking of her first. She is so wonderful! She might pinch some but never bites and is so funny! If a phone rings (even on TV) she says hello and when we walk in the room she says HI so sweet. She knows about 20 words and learning more. Isn't it amazing how smart they all are?! She has chains on her cage now after we came home to find her door open and a lamp knocked over. She's very good at letting us know what she likes or doesn't like!! I love how soft her eyes get when she's enjoying sweet talks. There's a play gym on our sun porch for her along with a mobile perch but loves her cage too. The 4th pic is how sweet she looks when enjoying her sweet talks and the 5th is her first time outside on her leach. Wow did she ever enjoy that!

Update on Angel- Angel gave us the scare of our lives when she got out and stayed free for 4 days. We had a horrible storm for 2 of those days. We paid for a bucket truck and a tree climber and had no luck. On the forth day she flew low enough for us to climb the tree and she stepped up to come home. She was very weak & tired. She was examed by our vet &  almost back to her normal self now. BEWARE!! we didn't think she would fly away but they will!! We learned to never take chances !th_f8825058.jpg

Soon after, we started to think about looking for a baby "Freddie". Sun Conures are not known around here much but we found an adorable lil one to bring home. Sprinkles makes us laugh and loves everyone. She trusts us totally. She even takes naps on her back with us. Elvis, Freddie and Sprinkles have really become buddies. They share a room and do great eating together and sharing cages. Her wings were clipped too soon but she's learning to fly. I think she could give kisses all day and love it unless cool whip is around!! The first pic is her first day home then up to now. The last pic is both Suns. Sure is getting harder to tell them apart!!

Then came our Dolittle man. He's a Pacific Parrotlet and such a joy! Everyday he does inventory of his belongings. His cage is beside our computer so we enjoy talking with him alot. I can't believe how fragile he is! I can cuddle him to my chest while rubbing his head and he just closes his eyes while enjoying. Even tho he's the smallest here, he is the best eater! We hope he'll talk one day but if not, it will be just fine with us.

Our newest (and last) member is Lucy. She's a Bare Eyed Cockatoo about 6 months old. We are still getting to know each other but love every second. She loves cuddling and playing. The cage that came with her was used and painted wrong so we had to do an emergency cage hunt but found a nice one. We love our silly Lucy and look forward to her growing up!   Lucy finally has a new cage just right for her! I think she's happy to have her own "room".

Ok, so maybe Lucy wasn't our last addition. Romeo and Juliet came to live with us 05/30/06. They are 2 adorable Budgies and pics will be posted soon! I'm a softy so when my Son and Daughter-in-law tried to talk me out of my keets, I gave in. They have been wanting a bird but wasn't sure what to get since they have alot to learn. We decided to give it a try and it's working out great.

This is Sully, 5 yr old Blue Fronted Amazon. He joined our family 08-06 and been a love since. He's teaching me new things everyday.

Here's the flight cage we built for the 3 little guys who are enjoying it already. Lucy's will be next but not as wide. It's 6 ft. tall  5 ft wide and 2 ft deep.

This is Honey. He is not our baby but lives with my Sister- in- law. He is very much part of the family even if in another state here in the USA. Honey is 10 yrs old and has had a very sad life but that totally changed when he moved in to his new home. He's now healthy and happy beyond believe! Honey loves his Mommy and the whole family. He is a very special young man and becomming more of his own everyday. He can't fly due to wing damage but he gets around very well. I think Honey would say it was worth the 10 years to find his rightful home. He is where he is meant to be and is the singer of the family! Update on Honey- He is a She! Just imagine being called "HE" when your really a "SHE" for ten yrs!

This is Lucy playing and being a Too. She is "coming out" more everyday, Talking, playing

and SCREAMING like Toos do. Yes she is a joy to live with and alot of time, work and money.

I just want people to think alot before getting any bird. Make sure you will be good for the

bird for all it's life!
