BabyBoo
Hello, if you are looking at Boo's page right now, could you please let me know if you think Boo is a boy or a girl? I just want to know everyone's opinion, because I am so stumped!
Hello, this is my baby budgie I just got from Pj's Pets. I'm not sure if it's a male or female yet though. It's still a little scared, but getting more and more curious when I whistle to it. Boo can already step onto my finger, with a bit of encouragement...and it doesn't even run away; that's what surprised me the most! I'm sure it also took a quick bath in the water dish since it's feathers were all wet, lol. I really love this little one, it was the only one that was turqoise and yellow; all the rest were blue/white and green/yellow. I knew I had to pick this one. Update: Boo had a small eye infection over the weekend, but is now recovering. There was some swelling and the eye was closed shut. But now there is nothing around the eye and it's all cleared. I'm just waiting for the redness to go away. Poor Boo!! Boo also found his/her happy hut and loves it, lol. Boo loves to listen to me whistle...it could sit there allll day long and listen. It even whistles back if I stop, hehe Boo's cere is changing color all the time...so it's really confusing to me at this point what to call it...a he or a she. lol. Right now it has like four different colors! Blue, purple, pink AND white! Holy moly.
In the picture above, Boo's eye was just starting to get better. Thankfully it is all healed now. I still have no clue how it started. I'm sure it was something to do with how I bought it at a petstore...and maybe something there triggered it. Here are a few more updated pictures of Boo. Personally right now, I think that Boo is a girl. She is really friendly, but still shakes a little bit when I hold her; then she calms down when I start whistling....then whistles back, lol. She is still a bit scared of hands coming in the cage and will try and bite...but I totally just ignore it, because it doesn't hurt, and then she knows that by biting me...nothing's gunna happen, lol. But yeah, overall Boo is doing great. I've only had her for about 2 months now...so if things are going this good now, I know it'll be even better later! Oh, and she is a totally spoiled birdy...she has 2 cages. One in my room that doesn't hang up, and then one that does. I'll go to work during the day, and then when I get home I put her in the other cage and bring her downstairs to hang up. She loves being higher up than everyone, hehe. The one thing we're working on now is getting her to eat fruits and veggies! She won't touch them! lol
