King Apollo's Kingdom 
Hey there, let me just introduce myself to you. My name is Apollo. I am a Western Long-Billed Corella cockatoo. I was hatched in October 2004 (you can work out how old I am). I live with my parronts in Western Australia. What a lovely place it is. I also live with two major mitchells cockatoos, twenty four budgies, eight Quails, two Rhode Island Red Hen, three cats, oand two fancytailed goldfish. The fish, hens, and quails don't bother me, but the cats and budgies, well they are something else to be desired for. Well you see, the cats like to sniff my tail feathers while I'm not watching, and the budgies especially LIME just love to divebomb me when I'm out playing with my parronts. I don't know why they like flying so much. Flying is just so OVERRATED!!! I am the king of the household, I get the run of the house... or at least when mommy's home anyway.

For those who don't already know, I'm the perfect angel. These are some of my activities that made me the perfectest angel in the world!!!!! This is me destroying daddy's computer seat! It's getting old, so I thought I'd help daddy get a new one by destroying the old one!  
And this is me chasing away anything that moves to protect my flock.
My policy....My flock not yours, go away or I'll getcha!! 
I even help mummy get rid of all her cane baskets that she doesn't want anymore by shredding it up to tiny little pieces!
See what a good job I'm doing?!?! Just look at the concentration there!!
I take my job very very very seriously helping mommy....  
And this is me helping mummy put away her notepad that she left out on the computer table  Oooopes......I hope mummy doesn't notice the missing corner..... 
Some of my favourite things in life are Scratches..... 
Almonds...Yum Yum Yum!!!!! 
Fresh Bottlebrush branches!!! 
Hanging around..... 
Or sometimes, just plain old lying around...... 
Some of my NOT so favourite things in life are.... Watching Budgies divebombing me from above!!! (This is me trying to tell them off for zipping around up there!!!) 
Being HUNGRY!!! I have my own cup and straw... 
I beg for food when I'm hungry by holding my fork up...Although mommy hasn't quite figured out that I want food!! Gee wizz what do I have to do to get some food around here!!! 
And least of all, I really really really don't like bedtime. I'll do all sorts of things in my night cage to get mommy to let me out again!! :) It works sometimes, but not very often though. 
My favourite past times includes Bath Time 
I also love my playtime with mommy and daddy.... (This is one of the rare few photos of me playing standing up as you'll find out later why...) 
My favourite playing positions.....Any position that allows me to not use my legs to support me... meaning as long as I don't have to stand up, I'm all for it!!! 
MY SKILLS INCLUDE FEEDING MYSELF I'll feed myself when mommy is busy on the computer chatting to people from Fluffies (Ppssstttt...I'm not so sure about those crazy people from Fluffies, but mommy seems to like chatting to them, so they must be ok.....)....

DRINKING OUT OF THE CAN!! When I'm thirsty, I can drink by myself too!!
I especially love drinking bits of juice out of the soda cans!!!

************************ Well that's about all for now about me....So have you fallen in love with me yet? I know my mommy and daddy loves me to bits!!!!
I'll now introduce you to some of my wild cousins that live on the Western Side of Australia.... Or at least the places/parks that mommy & daddy can travel to anyway!!! Here are some (lots) of photos of the closest cousins in the wild I have... They are the Little corellas....also known as Short-Billed Corella....or also known to Non-Aussies (no offence) as the Bare-Eyed Cockatoo (how they come up with that name I'll never know... Geeze, there's nothing bare about their eyes, or my eyes for that matter of fact!!!!) Anyway on with the show.... This is my first cousin......This is what they look like close up! I believe this pic was taken about one meter away from it. Pretty cool if you ask me, to be able to get so close to those wild cousins of mine......We'll just call him Cocky for this homepage purposes... 
Cocky lives with a flock of between 2000 - 3000 corellas (Plus a galah). This is his flock...geeze wizz how do they tell each other apart?     
Before Cocky go to sleep he likes to hang out and stock up on food and water (in his crop of course). He also like to use up some of those stored up energy by mucking around with his mates. Here are some pics of their activities before go night night. These pics show them stocking up their crop.....   
When Cocky is done eating, he'll hang out by the water hole and quench his thirst.      
Then He'll either hangout with mates.....  
Or he'll play with his mates....    
When Cocky's had enough, he'll run away!!! 
Cocky will then settle down and find his partner to be preen, or to preen her.     
Can't forget about the hungry babies can we?!?!?!?! 
Once that's taken care off, it's of to night night time.        
This particular flock likes to hang out quite close to the city..... 
Oh and remember I mentioned earlier that there's a galah amongst this flock? Well here he is....enjoying a bit of a grub with his mates. 
Wow, that was a long one... Just a few more pics to go. Although that's it for my closest cousins. Here are some pics of my second cousins the Eastern Slender-Billed Corellas. The pics show a few that are wild and yet friendly enough to take seeds out of your hand. However I think one of them likes mommy's finger better!!   
Here are some pics of my very very distance cousin...Rosie... Rose Breasted Cockatoo, or what I would like to call them.. The galahs, coz well they are just so galah!!!!    
Now some pics of my neighbours.... First, it's the Australian Ringneck Parrots, or the Twenty Eight Parrots. These are pretty friendly as well.....         
And these pics are my lovely neighbours known as the Western Rosellas...The colourful ones are naturally the male, the head, the king, the ruler.....you know what I mean...
