 Robin's Little Perch
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My love of birds came from my Grandfather. As a child I spent many hours with him as he tended his pigeons. I loved to just sit with him in front of his coops and watch them all. One spring I even got to have a pair of my own and watched them raise their babies. That started it all for me.:) Over the years I've had various types of birds. Actually, over the years I've had quite a zoo of many types of animals! Now, however, I am down to my 9 dogs and my 4 birds. 
 Meet "Pickles" my new Senegal baby!! 
He is a handfed baby and is just so sweet and awesome!! I had been reading up on how playful and outgoing these little guys are. I went to a local Bird Shop and they just "happened to have a baby. Lucky for me "Mother's Day" was just around the corner. I still can hardly believe I now have one of these little bundles of fun all my own! 
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  SMOKEY  Smokey, my CAG, came to me as a just weaned baby in March of 1997. She is an amazingly intelligent bird. As are all Greys.:) She has a phenominal vocabulary. Not only does she carry on whole phone conversations with herself, and immitate the sound of every household applicance, but she can also imitate the bark of, and knows the names of, all 10 dogs in the house. She also is quite adept at mimicking my many attempts to keep the zoo here under control. She gives the dogs orders quite well.:) I waited a long time for her and she is absolutely the bird of my dreams! (regardless of the fact that my husband is her favorite.:)

SKYE
Skye is just the sweetest, prettiest little bird. I fell in love with her colors the second I saw her. Though I've had several birds over the years, budgies are still one of my favorites. I intended to keep her as a single bird. But after 5 months, even though she became somewhat tame, she just did not seem happy. Seemed so bored. So, along came.... CLOUDS 
Clouds is another gorgeous little bird. He is very calm and sweet and he and Skye became buddies very quickly once they were introduced. They now share the same cage and do everything together. Eating, chirping, playing, preening, sleeping... I just love watching them together. I'm pretty sure Clouds is a male. I'm not sure about Skye. They're both still young and her cere color has me a little unsure yet. But as I am not really looking to breed whatever she is is okay with me since they both seem very happy just to have each other's company.
