one of the greens Movie: my indian ringnecks.wmv (302 KB) well its back to you frisky its about time concha,,, gee folks grumpy told you he is slow and i am barbara's fluffie by the way and have i got them both under control they do what i want ,i like to perch on to top of the curtain rod so they have to get the kitchen steps to get up to me and ofcourse i do step on there hand being the good little fluffie i am but as soon as they step of the steps i fly back to my curtain hahahahaha and they have to get back up again but ill be good soon and let them have more control they have learnt that giving me goodies does help but they need more training ill show you my faverite spot and say bye for now ill keep you updated when i get barbara and concha trained here i am found the pot plants on barbara;s kitchen and its great i can sit on the tall one and look out the window and barbara has now realised how much i like a scratch mmmmmmmmm scratches

the four wild dove's in for a feed now this fellow sitting on my verandah rail is so smart and takes notice to what i say and he sits and waites every day
below is some of my cages the first is a spare as i said earlier waiting for new fids the middle is home of my indian ringnecks the last my grass parrots. now the reason i included these photo's is 3 sides are wraped in heavy plastic, the reason i did this because it gets so cold and windy and the eve does not protcet my fids if you look close at the centre one you see i cut flaps for easy access to doors at nite i remove pegs holding them open so my fids get more protecsion come summer ill unwrap the cages so it wont get to hot for them .now i also done this with frisky's cage for a different reason as you see its inside and we know how messey these fellows can be so front is open sides and back are wraped keeps things a hole lot cleaner and its see through , also if you look close at frisky this perch is a simple idea i had so frisky's feet would be comfee i cut a long grove and end cuts in the round dowl suits the door you could do this to if you wish with just end cuts and it fits like a perch simply remove it when door needs to be closed and it just much better for our fids. p/s when i find time i will start a diary with tips and things i have done for my fids and hopefull they will help you. i will include photo's also.

above my new cage for the crimson wing parrots . i read in one of the post how this type of cage can be a concern here is my tip's when open as photo shows if the ends throuh wire frame drill a hole through the perch then put a plastic cable tie (also called zip tie's) through the hole this locks the perch in place note i have not done this to mine as yet but will now when closed if you dought the locking setup on you cage as not strong then an ocie strap (tie down elastic strap has metal hooks on ends ) will do one end cliped to the side up and over to to other side quick and simple your fids wont push it open with there heads or any heavy weight (that looks good ) ocross the openind split .hope that helps . again i will photo and further explain later in my diary http://www.fluffies.org/en/fluffies_mydiary.php well what a suprise i had the other day a pair of wild rainbow lorrie's call in for food and i managed to get them on video on the roof of my barbaque hope you injoy the video NOW I WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE PABLO A MINATURE FOXEY AND HE IS A WONDERFULL PET DOES NOT TROUBLE THE BIRDS IN ANY WAY AT ALL. THE WILD DOVES THAT CALL IN ARE NOT WORRIED THEY WILL JUST WALK PAST HIM IF THE ARE WALKING AROUND THE FLOOR HE NEVER BARKS AT THEM OR FRISKY. BUT HE DOES LIKE TO BE THE CENTRE OF EVERYTHING AND MUST HAVE A PAT IF FRISKY GETS A SCRATCH. ITS SO WONDERFULL TO HAVE SO MUCH LOVE FROM MY PETS.
well i had said earlier that i had a spare cage waiting for the new family , what i did not say was i was waiting for the next bird sale it was last week so of i went to it . and found the new family members the first was a cockatiel the moment i seen her blondie poped into my mind and i just had to have her so i bought her and called her blondie meet blondie
Gee if one only had endless funds if i had i would have bought all the parrots on sale, i was like a kid in a candy shop so many wonderfull parrots i could not make up my mind what to buy.My wife seen a blue budgie and said she would like to have it that made up my mind so i said pick four, now four was not enough i just had to have more so we both looked at many and found another eight, with 12 new budgies and 1 cockatiel it was of to home and the rest of my family fids.well i know have 22 parrots but wife on the way home tells me thats it no more birdie's .are but wait my son has a very good friend and he is going to give me another rainbow lorie i should have the rainbow in about 3 weeks and he will be one of the inside fids so i will get 1 more
Movie: blondie the pc gamer.wmv (225 KB) blondie haveing a play on my computer desk .....................below 6 of my budgie's Movie: noisey dozen.wmv (315 KB) well i only have to do a couple of updates on my page will be compleat hi i am NIBBLES now my mum is a rainbow lorrie and dad is a scally lorrie i got my good looks from mum and some of my color from dad so i am not sure what i am, i guess i am a supa lorrie i am 6 mths old now. when i left the nest Mike and Hazel who is a humans took over my care and Mike he is a supa fellow , taught me how to be real nice .i would have a shower with him and sit on his shoulder and have lots of fun with him. he has given me to concha now ,my new carer . here are my photoes
A big thank you to Mike and Hazel for the wonderfull gift of Nibbles its wonderfull when people have such big hearts, and thats what mike and hazel have they were just so happy to give one of there fids to me but i must add they were a little sad to see him go and i know why nibbles is such a wonderfull lorrie.they had spent so much time hand training him for his first 6 mths and had grown to love him of course and for someone they had not meet just my son and his family, something i think would be so hard to do. nibbles settled in without any trouble and has given me so much happiness , and the name suites he just loves to nibble eyebrows , ears ,arms ,well any part of my body he can nibble on and i dont mind cause i think he is just showing me how much he loves me. well he has meet frisky, now here is where i ask you to picture this i am sitting in the kitchen pablo is at my feet frisky is on the kitchen window ledge and nibbles is on my left shoulder happy nibbling on my ear not at all concerned about frisky ,so frisky deceides to fly over and say hi to nibbles and lands on my head next thing nibbles streaches his body to the max towards frisky rather quickly frisky dont want any part of this so he flys of my head back to the window ledge now nibbles forgets he can not fly but made a good attempt, but flutters down and lands on pablo's back ,pablo not knowing whats happing gets up and starts walking through the kittchen and nibbles hanging on to his back getting a free ride , all this in a matter of seconds well the wife and i laughed our heads of it was just so funny so that was the first meeting . nibbles showing of to frisky
nibbles has become a real charmer not that he werent before he sure does like toy's and playes with them all day . still not a year old yet but his head color is better and i am happy with his all over colouring. i have moved him into the kitchen now with frisky ( maybee not a smart move hahaha ) the chatter between him and frisky gets quite loud and when i am trying to listen to the tv gets very hard to hear it and the two of them have a contest to see who can be the loudest always when i realy want to hear the tv. but i must say its great when i come home and get a big noisey welcome from them. now i have some sad news i lost old boy a while back just old age i think and a mounth or so ago in one day i lost six of my budgies it was a supa hot day and i think they werent able to handle the heat. but i count my bleasings i did not loose more. soon as i get a chance i will post more photo's of nibbles well to my suprise some little sparrows now have deceided to have lunch in my kittchen, and i dont mind at all it seems they have been watching the doves come in and followed them, it must be a case if the doves can we can. so when they do i sit very still so i dont scare them maybe one day they will reaslise if i move they will still be safe . at the moment i am very upset it seems i have had all my ringnecks stollen. i went to feed them the other morning to find them gone and the cage door closed , now as the type of latches on the cage even the strongest parrot would not be able to open and the door was closed, and i am sure the birds would not take time out to close the door before flying away , i can only think someone has taken them and hope they keep them and love them as i did . its so sad to think not even our pets are safe from theives today , and i wonder if big padlocks would stop them. hopefully my next update will be better news bye 4 now and thank you for dropping in on my page well much to my suprise frisky is a girl , could not beleive it when i seen the egg but a shame it was not fertilized. since my last update which has been a while there has not been any thing of note to talk adout i still have many happy hours with my pets and you all understand the pleasure that is . frisky and nibble have changed a lot and allow a lot more handleing now rascal the red rump however still is very nervious bird and likes his own space and i am ok with that . my slupher crested parrots still come for there feed and so do the doves there family is getting bigger now more are comeing in and that single sparrow . now if i might add my dollars worth of advise if you if you like lorries stick to one why you ask , well my two never stop chatting to each other and at time the noise is unbelievable and there voice is high pitched To fluffies you and my feathered friends the animals of the world how wonderfull and diverse. fish of rivers and sea birds of land and sky, what pleasure they give us. but most outstanding of all our feathered friends. there color, voice songs of rejoyce, there moments of fun and play. there wonderfull flight there hop skip and dance the flopping around as they bathe. the censes abound at the touch and sound, eyes fill with delight at the colors in flight. big and small long or tall the variety seems to never end. we watch them fly so high these miracle's of our sky' so we bring them into our homes and the joy starts again. the children smile and shake with delight as they watch our feathered friends. and we sit back watch and enjoy as they play with toys given them as we all want to touch and pet them. my heart is open wide and gathered inside is yours the wild and my feathered friends. may fluffies live on till time ends to bring us the joy of you and new friends i hope you enjoyed it is not poetry or verse just the thoughts of a grey headed man saying a big thanks to you all for the wonderfull shareing of your feathered friends and thanks to fluffies for alowing to to share with you. just a fun photo's i am working on of the family
