HEY YOU GUYS! x1pxOYwqu4SjF76qOoEunw6hSxsit_EQhURS5oNBVk6c3C5NBqocUMl6nmNHFKFVZCM-zlyPpId56fEjPqqP7h2TRD_D87A8uMQZ7-DkQlrLJKn7-35aS64rWWxOTIJSEWyeaB5Lu8FVp90l-qPTJEYzu5I7B8.jpg

I'm Snoop the cockatiel, and my automatic feeder, waterer, pooper scooper, and toy supplier (known to you as Flycatcher) was kind enough to make my home page for me.   I'm a devious little detective who currently shares residence with: a schnauzer/toy poddleX named Toby, Assassin, the chubby frog, Claws, the african dwarf frog, five bettas (Sirius, Pinto, Dahaka, Celipso, Saffire), four white cloud minnows, five guppies (and their offspring, lol), a pair of Bolivian Rams, Hershey the chocolate pleco, Aesop the spade-tail cichlid, Ebony the angelfish, and Ivor, the waterworm, as well as any other creatures Flycatcher finds to take care of (One time she even had a young raven-scary!).  Words can not express how glad I am that Flycatcher's parents put their foot down to getting a tarantula once they found out how big the one she had in mind got Bird Eating Tarantulas DO exist, you know :(.

MY LIKES and LOVES: This is just a list of the things I like, and loveShiny objects, car rides, shoe laces, anything I'm not allowed to play with, rope/wood/bead toys, my rope perch, and my applewood perch, the ability to drive everyone around me completely insane (tee hee), cuddling with Flycatcher's dad when he gets home from work, beans, etc.  I also really love that Flycatcher thoughtfully hooked a ladder from my cage, to the floor, so I can climb up, and down, and go where I please (within reason, they say-).

MY HOBBIES: What I love to do, and repeatedly pursueDetective work (hey, I'm a Snoop!), cutting up beans from our garden (Flycatcher's posting photos in my diary), stalking people, and Toby, chereoke, etc.

MY DISLIKES:  Here's a list of things that I dislike.  Being tucked in at night: whenever Flycatcher picks up the cloth that goes over my cage, I instantly throw a hissy fit to try and discourage her.  "I don't wanna go to bed!!!"  I also severly dislike not getting my way, or being picked up, and taken away from something interesting because Flycatcher fears I may hurt myself, by/or chew through a cord.   But what I dislike most of all is being locked up, and left all alone.

WHEN I ALMOST DIED!!: I hate thinking about this, so I'll only record some of the details here.  I'd ruptured a new blood feather that was growing in, although Flycatcher doesn't know how, because they never leave me alone to hop around, so I hadn't got hurt that way.  I was locked in my cage 'cause they left the house, and when they got back, they found my in distress, preening my wing feathers furiously, and trying to tu gout the feather.  Underneath, and around my wing, the feathers were so soaked with blood that they couldn't tell what had happened, and Flycatcher thought I might have somehow hurt myself in the cage, and gotten a gash under my wing.  They took me to the vet immediately (phoning first since it was after hours), and he cleaned the blood from my feathers off, located he problem, and stopped the bleed.  I'd lost a lot of bood, do I was very weak aterwards, but I'm still alive  I'll never say I hate the vet again!

ABOUT FLYCATCHER

Flycatcher, my personal person, and executor (meaning she does what I can't do, eg. get food, etc.... she doesn't actually 'excute' anyone, lol), thought it would be nice for me to add a section about her, just so you know a bit about the person you're talking to.  So, for those of you who might be interested (although I've assured flycatcher that I'm the more interesting of us two), here's a bit about her.

Flycatcher is an animal obsessed, teenaged girl, who's chief interests are : horses, hunting (unfortunately, she also includes grouse in her hunt-I'll need to discuss with her the killing of my wild, distant relations), fishing, her pets, animal training, all animals in general, bushwhacking, fish, and fly-tying.

Bird Experience:  My first hands on experience with birds occurred when I was around 6-8 years old.  About twoor so years later, a juvinile cedar waxwing flew into the window, and broke her wing.  Bandit stayed with me for two weeks, and really enjoyed apple sauce, and trips back into her world (in her stay she lived in the shed, which soon became filled with branches, saskatoon bushes- she loved the berries, etc.) on my shoulder.  After the two weeks were up, her wing- a minor break- had knitted and she was released successfully into the wild.  The next summer, one of my dad's friend's brought in a cedar waxwing (named Bandito) that their dog had brought them.  The dogs canine teeth had broke the skin on the birds leg, and after about a week Bandito died of infection, since I wasn't sure quite how to treat it (now I know).  The next year, some people we knew from church brought me Joey, a baby starling, with just his pin feathers growing in.  They'f found him after a windy spell, in his nest with another unhatched egg, and no parents.  They kept an eye out, but when no parents showed up after about half a day (they said) they took him in.  With frequent feedings, care, and attention, he was fully fledged after about two and a half weeks or more(he had barely any feathers when I first got him) and was also successfully released.  Finally last year, after eight years of wanting a pet bird (I turned fourteen this April), my parents let me pick out Snoop as my Christmas present.  She was oldest of the lot, and had escaped before her wings were clipped, spending three days flying loose outside until she returned to the breeder (somehow).  She was also the most curious, mischevious, and disregading bird of the lot.  My parents throught she was like me.  To make a long story short, I bought her.

The END

Here's some photos of Toby, since Flycatcher is so fond of her.  Toby's never hurt me or anything, but she's competition (and Toby also regards me as such).
