Robin & Friends...
"Robin" Red Bellied Parrot

Hi... I'm Robin. I just love saying that! Sometimes I just say 'Hi', or 'I'm Robin'. I want to make sure everyone knows my name. I can say some other things too, but nothing as important as my name... 'Robin'. Oh, and I want you to know that I am a BOY. p.s...I think this is my best picture ever. I know I look very soft and irresistably cuddly. I know how much you humans like that sort of thing.
Although I'm an American boy, my Red Bellied Parrot ancestors are found in East Africa. We are in the Poicephalus Parrot family - close relatives of the Senegal parrot.
Actually, I do love cuddling as you can see, but don't let my adorable looks fool you. I don't want you to think I'm nothing but a softy. I really am a tough guy, and believe me, I have a very bad temper!!
Here I am posing with my pirate ducks.
Can you tell I'm proud of my toy collection?
Here's me holding a little snack I hate baths!!

Before you go any further, I want you to know... I HATE other birds!! Why does it have to say 'Robin and friends' at the top of the page?! They are NOT my friends!!

"Gryffin" Grand Eclectus I'm Gryffin, and I am an independent kind of gal. I have a mind of my own, and I am definitely my own person, though I do have my cuddly moments... Oh, and let me tell you... I am VERY jealous of that Starion! I don't know why I can't have ALL the attention! There are 4 types (or subspecies) of us Eclectus here in the US which are sold as pets. The Solomon Island, Red Sided, Vosmaeri, and Grand. I am a Grand, the least common here in the USA. My less civilized counterparts can be found in Indonesia.

I love to play with my toys! In fact, I always try to get a little playground time in before I sit down to breakfast in the morning. Oh yeah, and I like to make funny noises and talk like a human too... That's fun!
Get away from my bowl... back off!! I just love this coconut rope thing!

Here is an excellent shot of my orange tail tips... characteristic of females of my subspecies (Grand) Eclectus Parrots. Well, that's all for right now... Gryffin

"Starion" Slender Billed Corella
Hello there... I'm Starion, a female Eastern Slender Billed Corella. I am a very sweet girl... We Slender Billed's are known for being independent Cockatoos. I absolutely love to snuggle, but I have so many other important things to accomplish, that I don't have time to be a "velcro" bird like some of the other Cockatoo species. I love playing with toys, and seeing how I can get into mischief next! I am an Australian species closely related to the Bare Eyed Cockatoo. We Slender Billed are very rare in the United States where I live.

I LOVE playing with my toys!
Bath time!! A section for our good friends...
"Pinky" Bourke's Parakeet Hi, I'm Pinky... I'm Julie's mom's little boy. I am a very spoiled parakeet! Here I am sunning myself outside in my cage. She usually gives me a nice refreshing spray bath too. I enjoy daily time out of my cage, but I prefer not to be touched. I 'm a very good eater. I get all sorts of healthy foods chopped very tiny...vegetables, fruit, boiled egg white, wheat bread, nuts, and a little seed too since I'm a grass parakeet!

"Patches" Princess of Wales Parakeet
Hi, I'm Patches... I also live with Julie's mom. I'm her new little boy. I am a Princess of Wales Parakeet. I am an Australian, but I was born here in the USA. I'm still new, so there will be more on me later...

Rainbow Bridge tributes: In Loving Memory of "Adrion" May 6, 2005 - June 13, 2006

The last picture of Adrion... 1 year old birthday May 6, 2006. Beloved female Bronze Winged Pionus. As you can see, she was not quite finished molting into adult colors of dark blue. Undeniably, she had a sense of humor... She will always be remembered for her very unique sweet and funny personality, as the pictures below show better than words could...
