Hi there my name is Kathy and I own a 13 yr old U2  named Stella

I owned Stella about 3 yrs. and I love her to pieces.  She doesn't has a big vocabulary but she says: Hi Stella, I love you Stella, Baby Stella, Bye Bye, and she is trying to say Kathy.  She also mumbles alot but I can't make out what she is saying.  

Since we moved into our new house she decided to multiate herself.  My first vet told me that I wasn't treating her right and that why she started to self multiate herself.  She was attacking her leg.  One Hundred dollars later and plastic coffee can lid covered with medical tape. That is what her vet gave me for a collar.  A month later her leg got infected and decided to get a different vet. The first vet told me she was under weight and she needed her beak trimmed. Once we got a new vet he told me her weight was fine and her beak didn't have to be trimmed.  He gave me medicine for her infection (that I had to force down her mouth) Well make a long story short five hundred later after her surgery we decided to get her some new flock members.

                        Her new buddies are a 13 month Military Macaw named Rosie

Since Rosie is  still a baby she speaks a little.  She says Up UP,  Hi Rose,  and Hello.  She is learning the Cockatoo scream very well (oh no!).  She is mumbling everyday. She listens to MoJoe.

15 yr. old African Grey named MoJoe. 

MoJoe is a very good talker my brother that finds homes for unwanted parrots gave him to me.  His favorite lines are YEEHAW !! Want to dance?  Here up I'm hungry order a pizza.  Hold the Anchovies.  I am just a poooor parrot.  His vocabulary is amazing he has over 30 different one liners.  Everyday his says some new.  He can be very nippy at times.  We only had him for 3 months now.   I trying to earn his trust.  He doesn't want to go on your fingers but I can touch his head thru the cage.   He is actually teaching Rosie how to talk.

He loves to whistle alot and I heard say his name.  He is still learning to talk .

 Since the arrival of her new friends and alot of Sponge Bob Square Pants.  Stella is doing fine!!!!!

She over preens her feathers but no self multitation!!!  

  Please get a certified bird  vet.  My first mistake that I made with Stella.  I should of gone to the second docter first a certified bird vet. 

I don't care about the money I spent but what trauma Stella had to go thru.

She gets alot of visitors (my brothers birds) and here is a picture of Charlie a 5 month green winged macaw.

2 yr. Blue and Gold Macaw named Mr. Magoo

Stella had a very dear friend a Bolivan Macaw named Amy.  One of our dogs got to Amy and we had to get rid of dogs.  I was worried that my Stella was next.  Amy was my husband's bird that he loved dearly.  She was only 13 months old.

I feel sorry for Stella she had a true friend and that will never will be replaced.

Please if you have any dogs or cats watch them around your birds.  I walked out of the house for about 2 min. and Amy was gone.

I am so sorry about being to serious but I just found out what my parrots do when we are at work!!
