Hi! I'm Piper the Senegal Parrot!
I live with my mama and papa as well as my new eclectus parrot sister, 2 dogs and 3 ferrets!
This is Cinnamon and Shadow. Shadow pretends I don't exist and Cinnamon stares at me constantly. I just try to beak her! ************************************* My mama wants me to help her make my home page. Its about time she asked me, I'm the perfect consultant and have all kinds of ideas
Hmmm, I look pretty good in this picture!
Look at my colorful belly! I love FOOOOOODDDD!
Here I'm eating Beak Appetit and boy is it yummy! I first pretended not to like it so my mommy would eat it first. It is funny to see her eat bird food!
And I just discovered these yummy bird seed "cakes!"
Then she gave me this "thing." Never seen one of these before but I figured it was something to chew on.
Wow! There is something inside this thing!
Is this where peanuts come from?
I know what to do with this -- I devour peanuts!
All that work has made me thirsty!
Now it is play time!
I love to rip up popsicle sticks. But only the yellow or orange ones. (I don't like the blue or the purple ones) Call me crazy!
I like to lay on my back (but I won't let go of my mama's finger)
Here I am on a tree
I was looking for Angel bird . . .
We had quite a scare. On May 5, 2006, Angel Bird flew right out our front door. We found her but couldn't bring her down off of a tree (she was up about 30 feet). I tried to chirp and whistle to get her to come down, but she wouldn't. We had to leave here there over night. We hoped she'd be there in the morning but she was gone! We were devasted. .
I missed her so much, I just got really quiet and quit whistling or making any noises. My mama was really worried about me too. But, after 4 days of flying around without food and in the cold, she flew to a local elementary school guided by the voices of children playing. She must have been looking for a human, the only source she has ever known for food. The children saw her and soon animal control came to pick her up. Luckily, we had reported her missing to animal control so they contacted us and brought her home!

We were SOOO happy, and so was she! I started chirping and whistling and immediately jumped in my water dish for a bath! She was EXHAUSTED, but good other than that (and we confirmed it with our vet). We had quite a scare, but I'm glad our flock is back together again!
