PEPPER & FRIENDs WILLY Jan 05 / 07-first day home
We have a new family member. His name is, Willy. He is the same as Mesa, and Cheeco, a Cobalt Lineolated Parakeet. He is only eight weeks old. We have only had hime for about a week, and he is just a sweetie.
Pepper is a 2 1/2 year old hybrid eclectus female. She has been with us for 1 1/2 years. New house summer '06 - We moved to the country. We are all moved in now, and things are getting back to normal. I can't wait until I can take the birds outside in the summer. I hope to build them a nice comfy outdoor area to enjoy the sunshine.
Pepper has started singing again since moving. MESA & CHEECO
Mesa is a lineolated parakeet. She is 1 1/2 yrs old. She loves to give kisses. She is a quiet, gentle bird. Cheeco here is only 7 months old. He is a Dark Factor Green. A combo of a cobalt mom, and a normal green dad. They love to preen one another, although they do have their spats. New house- summer '06. Mesa, and Cheeco are always together now, and you can't take one from the other without them making a whole lot of noise. Where one goes the other has to follow. It's sweet.
Mesa, and Cheeco trying to eat my plant .
BUDDY Buddy is a Lilac Crowned Amazon. We don't know too much about him. He's missing a toe, and his one wing hangs down. Maybe it was broken at one time. He has a tiny cage, and hasn't been touched for at least two years. I gave him a bath today, which he wasn't too impressed. He has had at least five owners, so he is older.
He loves cheese, and hard boiled eggs. He has new perches now so that his feet can get some exercise, he doesn't grip very well. He will be getting a new cage soon, but we want him to adjust a bit first.
New house- summer '06 Buddy has his new cage. He doesn't talk yet, but he does make a few new sounds, which makes me happy. Charlie-Anne And then there were five. Its July '06, and Charlie-Anne, formally named Charlie until she laid eggs, has come to stay with us. Her family is looking for a new home. They don't have the room for her anymore. So she has come to be with us for a few reasons. We will have to see if she likes us, and if she gets along well in the house. If so I suspect she won't be leaving. She needs some hand taming, and I will have to do some reading on how to get her to step up without biting the stick . She is sweet, and has many sounds, and words that she has already said on her first day. I hope I can convince her to come out of her cage. She is so beautiful. Charlie-Anne seems to be coming around. We have some successful step ups. She shows a very sweet personality, and she sits forever while being scratched.
