your grey is beautiful and so are your darling lovies and all the rest. I liked the pic of a lovie with its face in the camera they just get into everything! Kya is even pretty when shes all messy. Canaries are quite the singers!
It was very nice of you to take care of a baby starling . I bet that little cutie is thankful you and your family saved him/her and are giving him/her a nice loving home. Its good you got to the starling when you did, cuz I've seen kids beat up on wounded birds . What a lucky birdy (s)he is to have been found by your dad!
Well, I hope to see pics of your brothers finches, they sound beautiful.
Well, bye for now!

Loved your homepage introduction of all your birds!
Do you ever give your birds suppliments? I know one woman who feeds her birds [Grey, Too & Ekkie] this product - http://www.parrot-paradise.com/avtriot.shtml - it is based upon Royal Jelly/Bee Pollen. Do you give your birds fresh foods as well as pellets?
When you say your canary is better - maybe there are more things you can do to get him back into good form. Birds that pluck may have allergies to dust [living away from the Grey] or stress issues or genetic disorders that are sometimes found in mutations. Diets - some birds have sensitivities to some brands of pellets or foods. For example, I have read about the Eclectus - not a good bird to have on pellets. Part of the bird's diet may be a lack of vitamins - assimilate the vitamins, adding full spectrum lighting. This specific lighting has been observed to have a calming effect on birds - lowering their stress.
The close up of your Lovebird hen's face is wonderful.
Your Starling is adorable & he's lucky to have you. Have you read the story of the Toronto Starling Kuro? http://www.starlingtalk.com/kuro.htm |
