As long as you look after and care for your birds ...
I have some trouble with Freddy my Blue front, but i would never give him up, You have to try to work through problems i think. And i'm not an expert in parrot behaviour but freddy continues to teach me about it and it's not allways a problem bird, its a problem human.
I know my limits with Freddy what he will alow me to do and what he won't.
You have to try to figure what your doing wrong and try to correct it. |

I don't know what to say I hope people don't think I have up on Merlin but I just couldn't handle his aggresiveness on top of the amount of noise I would have loved to help him but he just did not like me I think that the REPEATED training of parrots because they do not meet your standards is wrong and you either need to research the bird before you buy it or let ti be itself and not try and make it be a stereotypical, talking, friendly, breeding parrot. love it for who it is On the handfeeding issue I think if they are supervised and used to being around parrots then that is ok

well we talked to the store and they said that this wasn't the first time he had bee returned he was classed as a 'problem bird' something they failed to mention when we bought him. They said they would take him back and offered us money but i said i didn't want it. I just wanted him to go to a good home so they said they would give him acouple of weeks and if no one came to adopt him then they would put him into a breeding programme I just couldn't cope He was becoming more attached to my dad everyday but my dad has now gone to cyprus with the military so he couldn't spaend time with him. It was getting to the stage where i couldn't touch him withut leeding he was also really, really loud and the neighbours had complained because we live in terraced housing I really miss him but i think it was the best thing to do

my Grey is one of the wonderful lights of my life.....
I have heard of the Cameroon African Grey species...but I've never seen one....I'll have to do a google search.
I'm guessing they're pretty rare in captivity... |

Im not sure that they are rare . I saw one in a pet shop
in Littleton New Hampshire . They wanted 1,495.00 for
it . I have read that the Cameron is a different species
because of where it comes from and the lighter color ,
but then I read that both the dark and the light have
been found in both areas so weather it is a sub species
or not is any ones guess .. lol |

I think there might be a lot of Cameroons in captivity....but they are very easily confused with Congos........I found some pictures and descriptions of them...and they're basically just a tad lighter...and bigger than CAGs.
who knows......
I wouldn't mind someday having another CAG....
not to breed...but to have as a pet.....
it would be fun I think. |

I've never heard of Cameron Greys.
I read your comment on lynzi's page, and if you think Sue is really insulting (no one else thinks so) then leave! Sue is the site admin and can ban members and so on. And Shirin is a moderator and can do something like that too. Saying the fluffies staff are insulting is a good way to get banned. |
