Hi Gemma, Poppet is a beautiful bird. Is Poppet male or female? I am owned by SweetPepper, a 3 1/2yr old female senegal. I got her at age 5 mos. I met her at a bird fair and it was instant love. The great thing is that the breeder lives close to me and will birdsit all 3 of my birds when I go on vacation. My other 2 birds are tiels. Hope to see more pics soon of Poppet. |

So this is where your "unbiased" suggestion came from. I wonder about that...

Popet, you are very cute for a senegal. how old are you and are you a boy or girl. we need some statistics on you. there are lots of other fun senegals on fluffies so hope you meet them all.
SweetPepper is my 3 1/2 yr old female senegal baby. she is my absolute joy. she talks some, her favorite word is to yell or screech 'babyyyyyyyy'. she loves to play with her toys and spend time with me.
she also shares her home with 2 cockatiels.
hope to see more pics soon! |

Poppet is awesome and has the most beautiful colors. He looks like a baby. How old is he? I can't believe that little bird is not afraid of the dog and stands up to him. |

Sennies look so cute but I hear they're a handful. Nice photos - look forward to more news about your bird's specialties. Haven't checked out your journal - hope you're keeping a record of the words. |

Merlin be nice to Poppet, you are siblings now and will be together forever. So you have to learn to share and get along. You and Poppet are very cute and have a nice family to take care of you. Hope to see more pics soon. |

It sounds like you are saying that Merlin was unfrieldly to you . Did you desided to part with Merlin ?
I have had parrots in my home for 25 years and my oldest child is 15 . The hand feeding really isnt an issue at all . I do not allow them to hand feed the younger parrots that are in pin feather , only the older ones that
are good eaters .. |

yes we had to give away merlin because he was so unfriendly and loud i dont see an issue with hte hand feeding thing as long as the children are supervised by someone who knows what they are doing
