wow, I love your birdies!! They are so gorgeous! Must say this is the first time I've seen a red bellied and grand eclectus!! They are soooo unique looking! No wonder why you'd like a slender billed.. they are very unique looking too..

Hi Julie, in regard to Fester, i think like most parrots he loves attention and affection. Personally, I find him a bit of a hand-ful as I am used to play and interaction with my smaller birds. I could walk around all day with one of my birds on my shoulder, sometimes one on each shoulder and not be bothered by them. I don't do this of course as they need "time out" in the cages to eat, sleep, preen etc. But, you cannot do this with a Corella as they are such a big bird. Fester is very playful and affectionate, but can get carried away and very rough in playing, and you have to watch out for their big beaks, but I really believe this is because he is still a young bird. I just love his personality. He is such a clown. I think also with these birds that if you let them have freedom of the house you need to keep an eye on what they are doing to the furniture.
regards

Aaw, Julie, thanks alot for sharing your thoughts on the "how many is too many" topic Sorry it had to be closed But yeah, I totally agree with you, species makes a huge difference too. I don't think I will ever get another parrot in my lifetime, the 3 I have now are a hand full themselves , but I would love to have more doves some day
And thanks for the compliment about my topics |

Thanks! I'm convinced they're extra cute, but I just might be a little biased too |
