Very Happy love your homepage. I never would have thought of a black background but it works with Jasmine's pics. Jasmine is one pretty senegal. she looks like my SweetPepper so I'm partial to sennies as also tiels. I have 2 tiels myself. MiMi is very adorable. Your other birds are very cute too. love the black & white pics of jasmine. hope to see more.

Hi there! Welcome to fluffies Very Happy Your birds are all wonderful and I really enjoyed reading their stories. I totally understand how hard it is sometimes to want to save the poor birds from those awful petshops Crying or Very sad If only we could save them all Crying or Very sad I got a job at a petstore once cuz I love animals and I thought I would enjoy working with all the different birds, but after seeing the way the birds were treated and the amount of lies they tell the unsuspecting customers, I just couldn't stand to be there anymore. I quit after a month.

One of your bluemasked lovebirds has such unusual colouring on his chest Shocked He's beautiful, is he a hybrid? I think clipping the wings might help in taming them, you can let them grow back once they get used to you more.

I love your dove Smile I have ringneck doves too, and I just love their sweet cuddly nature. Confused But mine are only cuddly with people, not other birds.

Anyway, would love to learn more about your birds, hope to see you on the message board soon Smile

Smile Dear RA, in order to get Jasmine used to others, you need to hold her and talk to her softly and introduce others to her. Then you can slowly rub her belly and talk to her while the other person slowly tries to scratch her head. make sure the other per moves slowly and brings their hand up from below her and not from over her head. I do this when my parents want to say good nite to Pepper or give her a scritch on the head. She lets me do anything to her , she trusts me completely. Thru that trust Jasmine can also learn to accept others with your help. Good Luck.
Jasmine is such a doll. Have you checked out Boris the senegal? He's a pretty senegal from France. Also theres Jennie the senegal.
Senegals are sweet loving birds. Very Happy

Patients and time. This is only a suggestion or two, I do not pretend to be a bird expert. And I do not know you or your bird.

Try positive reinforcement. Find a treat that she can not live with out. (Sunflower seeds). Do not every give her this treat again (at lest for now). But when every anybody else comes over have them give her one. Start there and work your way up.

Most of the time those pet store birds have problems that take a lot of TLC. My Amazon took 4 months for me to pick her up on command. 18 months later she still won’t get up on any body else unless I put her there. She has bonded with me that tight. Sometime that is just the way it is. But she should learn not to bit everything that moves.

Good luck
John and Carrie
