I bet it is hard to give the babies up. I know when we picked up Anne the lady that raised her just about cried. We bring her back often so she can see Annes progress.

They are like children and I fall in love every year......I know the folks that take them home must think I am crazy. I love and kiss on them like the first day your baby goes to kindegarten. You would think after 10 years it would get easyer but it doesn't. Crying or Very sad

Yes they are and as they get mature they loose the white ( Horn ) color on the beak and it turns all black. There tummies have yellow and orange full length is 19 inches as an adult. I believe they are the largest of the conures and the sweetist only draw back is they can be loud.
But they are buy far my faverite baby to raise. Very Happy

I have looked and searched for hours trying to find info on the patties and there is not anything to speak of. I know there use to be a contriversy on whether they where a mini macaw or a conure but I can't even find info on that anymore. So again if anyone finds good info on them let me know and will link it on my web site.
Honestly pictures I have seen of them do not do them justice either they are even more stunning in person. When I have babies and they are having play time I have this huge cafe bowl I use to use for making bread and I set it on the floor ( my floor is all tile ) full of water and they dive in it like pearl divers its about the funnist thing I have ever seen to see 2 or 3 of them at a time diving climbing out and going again
