It does take awhile to feed them all. Around about an hour to all 11. And that is doing 2 at a time.
They are from 3 different clutches. |

Jeremy!great photo's here

hand-raising boy have you got your hands and feet full..he..he hope you keep us updated on there growth and outcomings, for it would be great to see there upbringing Just wondering how many hatchlings(other parrots) do you rear at the moment for it must be a full-time job.. although rewarding to achive so many at one time. Do you have help or do it all yourself when feeding them. Anyway while the pic's are happening when can l see some of the parent pic's(please)for l love seeing Male Ringnecks inparticular with thier rings around there necks.Mylo has a blue ring forming being his first moult so at least l know he is a male, just hope his next moult the black ring follows for he might be a opaline colour Ringneck and so he might just have the blue/white ring "so to speak'.either way doesn't matter but l am now in that curious stage?? wish he can tell me,for he can speak english..he..he.. |

Greg, at the moment, in addition to the 11 Ringnecks i am also handraising 3 Lovebirds. They are about 1-2 weeks old but only the size of about a 7 day old chick. However, they are eating well and slowly but surely they are growing.
I have another person helping me, although, sometimes they are not avialable and i have to do it myself. By myself it takes a little over an hour At this age all they want to do at feed time is run around and explore
Here are some pictures of all the parents.
Blue Cock x Pastel Blue Hen (this pair had 3 babies)

And his mate a Silver hen

There is also a pair of Greys but i don't have any photos of them, well i do but i will have to upload them later |

Good to hear you have some help time to time Jeremy .Your Blue cock looks great too though but l'm being biased here for that's the same colouring minus the ring on Mylo Look forward to the updates on your young. You know you can make a homepage/dairy page to keep us all informed on how your hatchling grow, would be good to see.Just a thought |

Oh wow, Jeremy, those parents look great!! Amazing colouring on them for sure. Dont think I've ever seen the pastel blue before, apart from pictures of course. Are those ringies hard to breed? Just curious.
You're raising 14 babies at the same time.. wow, that is a full time job isn't it?!?! It's like you're done feeding the last baby, and then you gotta start on the first one again!! LOL.. How many feeding are they getting at the moment?? |

At first i thought they were hard to breed, last season they were all rising 2 year olds so i was expecting all of them to breed but none of them did.
Then this year 2 pairs laid eggs but they were all infertile. It was getting pretty late in the season and i thought i would have to wait until next year but all 3 pairs surprised me with fertile eggs.
So i suppose ytou could say they are pretty easy to breed, given that they have a large enough cage and a good diet.
All the babies are getting fed every 4 hours. I start at 6am and finish at 10pm. Well i don't actually FINISH until around 11pm |
