Hi Meero,

How old is Sugar?

My Yoda is 9 months and started talking around 7 months of age which is quite normal. Yoda just copies my older 7 year old IRN, Jibby though. Yodas first words were 'CHICKY YEAH!' which is my 7 year olds favourite word. Yoda also now loves to kiss everything just like my Jibby does. Rolling Eyes

Every bird is different. Some don't even talk. My Jibby, says alot but mostly jumbled up words/phrases that only I seem to understand. lol. But around 7 months old is quite normal for an IRN to talk (say words).

Hi Amir

unfortunately, not all birds will talk even if they are known to be good talkers. But generally if you talk to your bird a lot and it wants to mimic, it can achieve it quite quickly.

I don't think lemon is too good for IRNs and watch out for alot of seeds. They are not good for them and can cause health problems.

Alot of breeders don't ship birds. Its just to stressful for the birds. And importing is a big no no.

But here in Melbourne Australia Irns can be priced within 100 to 300 dollars. 7 years ago I got Jibby for 300 and Yoda was 150.

But please don't buy over the internet. Its good to get to know a bird before you take one home. Wink

Well, I don't have an IRN but Wheezy & Scuttle were quite early with their talking. At least, that's what I thought. I think Scuttle was 4 months old? I'm not sure though!

They're also sweet when they use their own language right? Smile
