do you think I should get my lovebird jazzy a friend? for in the same cage and everything... I know a breeder close enough near me(not jazzys breeder) that has REALLY tame babies some available now. but i kind of don't want to get another one because 1)i don't know what gender jazzy is2)i don't know what gender the other bird might be3)i don't want them to breed4)i don't want them to fight. but I think shirin was right a while ago 2-3 hrs a day for a lovebird just isn't enough so what do ya'll think i should do do you think it will make him(jazzy) nippier? |

Well, you already know my answer to this Yes, I wholeheartedly believe that lovebirds should not be kept as single birds. Will it make your lovie more nippy? Probably not. If you continue to handle Jazzy, and spend time with him just as before, he shouldn't become more nippy.
Can you possibly get Jazzy sexed? I think 2 males will do best together. Females tend to be more aggressive, and egg laying might induce territorial behavior.
Good luck with your decision |
