Hi my name is Kasia, and I was just wondering if you would give me some information on lovebirds, because I'm a begginer with parrot intrests, and I am meaning to want one badly! |

Lovebirds are great, they were my first parrots as well They are very energetic, playful, and vocal. They are also very bold, and can be nippy, but are also pretty affectionate and love being with you all day long. They love sitting on your shoulder, and usually refuse to go back in their cage at the end of the day In my experience, they're pretty low maintenance, and almost never get sick if you properly take care of them. The only thing I would say is, if you're a busy person, and are at school or work all day long, then definitely get two, because a single lovebird will be too lonely. They love cuddling and preening all day long, and if you aren't able to be with your lovebird for most of the day, definitely get a pair.
If you have any specific questions, I'll be happy to answer them |

Hi Kasia.. I am sorry I haven't replied sooner. I think lovebirds are great. I tend to favour the males.. They're usually less nippy.
Did you get a lovebird? |
