| Screaming lovebirds Help!!!! |
|
|
I have 2 lovebirds-both peach face and have heard that they are the loudest of all species of lovebird. I am now living in a small apartment and am not able to keep them very quiet. I have talked with the vet and have used all her suggestions but I am frustrated with the loud screaming all the time-I am not one to be bothered by the normal chirping that they normally make but lately it seem to be excessive-If anyone has any ideas that may help ease their screaming please let me know. |

Just wondering, are they caged birds? or do you let them out to fly around when you're home?
Tell us what you've tried, and we can see if we can do our best to come up with something else different to help you out... |

Hi Menagerie
I already answered this post in the behaviour forum

I'll just add that, my neighbour across the street has lovebirds, and I can hear her lovebirds from the street when I'm outside. Their voices are definitely loud But again, their vocalization is just a sign of them being happy and healthy, there's nothing you can do to stop it. |

My lovebird is not really loud. He often "mumbles" to himself but it's not loud. He likes to screem on occasions but that's only when he gets excited about something, ie when he plays outside his cage with Papug.
I'm not sure what to suggest... I guess covering the cage to dim the light might be an option if you need a quiet moment. |
