psittacosis in petsmart  Reply with quote

I just got my new bird talk magazine, and it said the reason that petsmart hasn't been selling birds is because they tested positive for the psittacosis disease! ahhh! Shocked I go in there all the time Confused isn't it an airborn disease, or atleast, can be carried on your clothes right? I am a little mad at the store, they had a sign up but it just said they weren't selling birds right now, you'd think they would have HAD to put up why right? Atleast out of respect for us bird owners so we can be careful right? anyway I will try to find the page for ya'll on their website incase I left something out or misread it...
