good pellets in Oz?  Reply with quote

This is one for the Aussie contingent. I am on the look out for some pellets for my cockatiel (see post below) I want something organic without the nasties Evil or Very Mad after reading the post about pellets. What is the best one available in Oz? Is harrisons? Any links or brand names would be great. Thanks

I just got some Mrs Macs organic pellets for Picasso from my vet today, I haven't tried them yet so I don't know if he will like them. They cost me just under $20 for the large pack which is cheaper than the ones I used to get. I think they must be a new company or they only wholesale because the vets is the only place I've seen them. They are based in Melbourne, I will post the phone number again when I'm at home (I'm in a cafe, Fluffies withdrawals, couldn't wait till Friday)

Hi Fi

I'm not sure if you're asking for your tiel or your lorikeet. As they have different dietary needs. If you are looking for something for you tiel... I guess Harrison's pellet would the best. They are actually available here in Australia now. Although still not widely known in Oz, there's a distributor around. I don't have her contact details at home, but if you want, you can email Harrison's and asked them about the Australian Distributor, that's how I found out about it.

As with Lorikeet, I'm not too sure about those ones. Sad

Thanks a lot everyone. Yes the pellets are for my tiel. I will try companies you have suggested. I'll get back to you with the results.
