A friend of mine has a kit that lets you suck the air out of the freezer bag, then seal the whole thing. It would be awful to invest in all that food and have it freezer burned.

I stopped with pellets because I belive itīs not the best food. Pellets mostly contain grains, soy beans and artificial vitamins and minerals
That's why I no longer feed pellets. I was able to get a mix which only has a few sunflower seeds (black) and also has beans, grains, dried herbs, vegetables, fruits and so on. Did you see a change in your bird after you switched?

It wasnīt that long ago since I switched, but the biggest difference so far is that my birds are much more curious about their food. Before, when they ate pellets, they just ate because it was necessary but now they are excited every time they get food. Itīs easy to have them try new foods too.

There is the "fine" size too... that is what I'd use for most any birds except for a Macaw. In my opinion, the "coarse" is just in too big pieces for most species, and makes a lot of waste. Try the "fine" next time. Smile

As soon as I replaced the old pellets with HBF he went to it, and startid playing with them after a minute he found that if he trows them it makes noise so the next 5 minutes where spend towing pellets around and me picking them up Evil or Very Mad

I broke them down in smaller pieces and now he is eating some more and throwing less. So i guess that is progress
