other than seed what else is good for my birds.ive purchased these kingys and as i want best results for breeding i require a bit of guidance.thanks |

I'm not 100% sure on the best diet for king parrots, but I would think a varied diet of fresh veggies, occasional fruits, seeds and pellets be the norm for these guys. although if they are anything like the Ekkies, they may required special dietary need. Sorry can't help you there with more specifics.  |

Jo Paul, welcome to fluffies! I don't know what kind of diet a king's parrot needs but I would feed at least veggies that are high in vitamine A. (Carrots are high in beta carotene) Or broccoli?
How long have you had these guys? I would first make them feel at home before thinking of them breeding.  |

hey guys ive had these kingys for approx 3 months they are looking fine as i have a good size aviary and they by themselves.the female loves apple,the male not to keen they dont eat fresh beans im going to try corn!! |
