Orange/mandarin's peel?  Reply with quote

Hi,

I know that it's ok to give the birds oranges and mandarins, so I would imagine that it's ok to give them the peel as well? I'm just wondering this as I've found out that Apollo for some reason just love to chew on the peel of mandarins. He doesn't really like the fruit itself, but it seems that the peel is a big hit for him!! Smile let me know please if it's not ok to give it to him.

Cheers
Bih

Hi!

I don't know about peels? Some spices seem to have peels as ingredients, so I would THINK they can have it!
But, perhaps there could be chemicals on the peel? I don't know?

I don't know either Bih. I do give Manu chunks of oranges with the peels still attached, but he always just chews the orange out of the middle without chewing the peel.
