My Mom has me hunting recipes that are healthy for Amazons. She eats very healthy but wants more variety for Willie. Got any ideas? |

What ever she eats will be fine for him. Jusy keep in mind that Amazons are have a tendency for over weight problems. So watch thier fat intake.
This is what we do for ours
Fressh food in the morning Fruits and Vegs
Pettels in the afternoon
Then share dinner with them in the evening. Meat, Potatoes what ever you are having...
When Wille starts to wean, you give what ever he wants to eat, sunflower seed in the shell is good, millet spray. What ever it takes. Then slowly, real slowly he will start to learn about other foods, from your mom, birds are social eaters. He will want to eat what ever and when ever she does. It took us a good 3 months of seeds before Charlie (YNA) would start eating the fresh foods in the morning. Now he can't wait.
