I've got three bags of dried beans. Now what?! Tried to sprout them, but nothing happened. Can I sprout these? Black eyed peas, northern and black beans? Otherwise, just boil them and serve them warm with veggies , wholegrain pasta, and/or rice? |

I serve legumes cooked. chic peas are the most favorite amongst my birds. They also love kidney beans. I also feed wholegrain pasta, and wild brown rice, cooked as well. Veggies can be served cooked, steamed, or raw. |

I personally haven't tried it, I'm sure someone will be along soon to give you proper advice on how to sprout seeds. But I think you're supposed to leave the seeds in water for a couple of days. Sometimes I find seeds in my laundry room sink, and they've started sprouting because they were sitting in the water from the laundry |

I'm experimenting! Just rinsed some seeds and legumes then wrapped them in a damp paper towel. Will keep it moist and see what happens.
Don't worry, I won't feed them any of my crazy concotions until I'm positive that's it's OK. |
