Such a picky eater!!  Reply with quote

My Mollybird is a SUPER picky eater...
She loves:
kashi "7-in-the-morning" cereal
seeds
oatmeal
romaine lettuce (but only the green leaves, not the purple ones)
and once in a while, she will pick at an apple

I am desperately trying to get her to eat a more varied diet with more fruits and veggies, and protein but she HATES eggs (hisses at them) and refuses to try almost any new thing...at least new things I want her to try...

she is always tring to eat *my* food - but never healthy things - she always goes after the junkiest things I eat like ramen noodles and mac&cheese (I never let her eat these things) and NEVER the things I want her to eat.

what can I do? I have tried making up plates of molly-friendly food to eat with her, but she still refuses. any suggestions?

thanks,
via

Hi Via

There is some good advice in the older threads of the diet forum.

Try different ways of preparing foods. If Mollybird does not like scrambled egg, try boiled egg.

Linus did not like big pices of egg but when I chopped the boiled egg into small pieces he suddenly decided that he loved it Rolling Eyes

Also for lettuce and leafy greens I wove them through the cage bars. At first he only pulled them out and played with them. Then I noticed that there was less and less amounts of the greens thrown on the cage floor. He just started eating themafter about a week of playing in them.

Good Luck
