Normally I feed my birds the Harrisson HPC pellets, and a daily amount of Juvenile Handfeeding Formula. As a treat I give them biological nuts: almonds, walnuts, macadamias etc. Also palmnuts, fruit, veggies. Red chili pepper, carrot. And fresh leaves of wild plants in the garden like dandelion. You can think of many things, als long as they are biological/organic. Harrissons also has a "power treat", which they also like. |

I agree with Tabu, nuts and fruits and veggies are perfect treats as long as they're organic. My Grey LOVES almonds, and pistachios. (make sure also that the nuts are unsalted). I bought the Harrison's power treats, but none of my birds will touch it If you buy special bird treats from the pet store especially the nutriberries brand, make sure to check the ingredients. Don't buy anything with artificial colour, sugar, salt, or ethoxyquine (perservative). You're better off with wholesome organic nuts and fruits and veggies (no weird ingredients). |
