have any of you had good experiences using the zupreem "natural" brand? I read in a different post that someone thought of the fruit flavored ones as "birdy fruit loops". So are the natural ones "better"? thanks |

I've fed zepreem natural a few times. My lovebirds liked it. I definitely don't recommend the fruit flavored ones. They are full of sugars, artificial colours and artificial flavors, and are basically junk food. The bad stuff in them cancels out whatever nutritional value they may have. Some birds can also have allergic reactions to certain artificial colours, causing them to pluck or shred their feathers, so don't waste your money. Give your birds fresh fruit instead |

I don't feed zupreem. I would not go for colored pellets though. (If they're colored) |

Zupreem might be the most popular brand, but it is not the best. The naturals are better than the fruity ones, but ones made by the cold pressed pellet method rather than extruded (pressure cooked) method are more nutritious. I like Roudybush. Also the organic pellet brands (Harrison's being the most well known one and easiest to get) are much better too.

The natural ones are better and I personally think that zupreem is better than roudybush but by far Harrisons is my favorite. |
