Yesterday he was really good. I picked him up a few times and talked to him really loud as I was holding him to keep his attention on my eyes, telling him what a good boy he was and how much I loved him. Then before he had the opportunity to go for my fingers, I put him down right away, and again praised him and gave him cuddles... it was short periods each time.. but still an improvement. Maybe everyday I can increase the time I hold him just a little bit and see if if it works Confused

Shirin, I am so happy for you! That's a big improvement!
Preventing unwanted behavior is always better. (So you can praise for good behavior)

Good job Shirin. I'm glad that things are moving along for you and Bunny. Like Sue says don't rush things, lots of patience and loves is the key I reckon! Smile Keep us posted with the progress please.
and yes good luck!

Bunny has been doing so well the past few days. Now when I pick him up he still goes for my fingers but doesn't bite, just holds my fingers in his beak for a second and lets go. I really don't know what caused the change. My only guess is that maybe before he might not have been getting his full 12 hours of sleep and was a bit cranky. I've been making a real effort to make sure he gets his sleep, undisturbed, that is making everyone else in the house be REALLY quiet once Bunny goes to sleep, as if there was a sleeping baby in the house (technically there is Very Happy ).

He he, yes these beautiful babies do need all the beauty sleeps they can get!! Smile Apollo gets so cranky when he doesn't get at least 10 hours sleep! He'll be grumpy all day, and he won't really eat his food, and he'll just be plain mean when he's out playing with us!

But good to hear the progress that's coming along with Bunny. Obviously you're doing something right by him that he's stop biting your fingers. Smile good to hear.

Great job. Keep it up mate. Smile
