Does she make any noises when she is shaking her head? When she shakes her head does she bob it up and down? That is what a baby bird does when their parents or hand feeder feeds them. Is she eating good? You will have to keep an eye on her. You might have to hand feed her. Sometimes when you bring a young bird home that has just been weaned they can go into regression ( correct me if that is the wrong word) because of all the stress of being in a new place with people they don't know, so they want to go back to something that makes them feel comforatable.... which is their parents or handfeeder feeding them. Or she might have been weaned before she was ready. Sometimes baby birds continue the head bob and replace wanting to get fed for trying to get attention.I would make a vet appointment to make sure she is at the right weight and it is always good to take a new bird to the vet for a checkup anyways.Good luck with your new little one. And congrats Smile

No she isn't bobing up and down she is shaking her head back and forth like to say no. And yes she sounds like she is growling at me. She is eating good. I still hand feed her in the morning and in the evening, and she eats her seeds too. She just started shaking her head in the last few days. Didn't know if I was doing something wrong, or if something might be wrong with her. She is going to the vet next week. Thank you for your help

Thank you I did some searching and found the post but, it didn't answer that question. I did send a message to the man that had the bird hope to hear from him to see what happened.
