| Sneezing?? And too protective of cage! |
|
|
I've noticed lately that Boo sneezes sometimes. I never even knew birds sneezed! Do you think she has a cold or something? It's not frequent though...just every once in awhile.
Also, she is biting me very hard lately too. I think she has become really attached to her cage and thinks its HER property and no one else should touch it. So what i did, when i had her out of the cage today, she flew away from me onto my bed...so I just picked her up from behind, so she was in my hand...not sitting on my hand...and she didn't even bite! I was so surprised. Because everytime i'll go into her cage to get her...I'll have my finger ready to take her and she'll just attack it, lol. I don;t react and just keep it there till she steps up, but it kinds of hurts, yah know!! It's just the problem of picking her up...when she gets on my finger she's fine and doesn't bite it anymore. Sometimes she'll even let me pet her head. I was just really surprised when i picked her up the other way...it was totally different. |

Hello! I am Samuel!
Nice ta meet ya! (^_^)
Well, about the sneezing. My bird sneezes somtimes, and she is not sick, she is really active though.
About the biting. Is she just touching your finger, like does she BITE you or is it kind of like a tickle?
PS: You can ingnore this, but I just wonder to much. How old are you?
Just wondering. I am 11 years old. Like I said, you can ignore this. |

Like I said, she bites very hard! I think she thinks she's the queen of her cage. But even when i set her ontop of the cage...and then go to get her again she'll attack me. Once I have her though, on my hand she is fine. I really dont know what to do. I want a nice bird, not a vicious one! She was so sweet when i first got her. I also took out 2 toys that i thought she was too attached to. They both were bright and had eyes...maybe she thought they were other birds?? I replaced them with simple ropes and bells/beads. I doubt that will help though...i'll still be "invading" her space I think. |

Uuummmm... I don't know if this will work...but...
1) Take away that cage and put another one. If you have one, of course (I can't afford cages myself ).
2) This one might be cruel in my view, but it might work. Take her away from her cage and take away everything thats in it (food, water, toys, EVERYTHING). Then leave it that way for about 10 minutes...It might work?
3) Eat chockolate
Hope this helps, bye |
