bird safe mesh..? indoor aviary help.  Reply with quote

Can anyone tell me where I can get non-galvanized mesh sized for B&G's for cheap?? I'm wanting to build an indoor aviary but I'm having trouble finding mesh that won't poison my birds that doesn't cost an arm and a leg!

I wonder if any of the chain link companies can sell me some before it's been dipped... and is it safe for them, or can they get their toes stuck in it?

If anyone has build their own, what did you use for the bottom to catch everything?

any tips or info would be great!

Thanks!
Nikki

oh, I forgot to add that I'd be painting the chain link or whatnot with non-toxic paint to protect from rust and all...

I know there are some companies that use stainless steel mesh. The greenparrot.us does use it on its travel carriers.
Perhaps you can inform with them?
