I'm so jelious. I contacted the company cages by design and they do not have a distributor in Australia, what's more it's not worth having one shipped out, too expensive. As far as I know there is no product like it in Australia. Does anyone know of a company that can manufacture or import something like it? |

I don't know about this..
But I think Danabird has a cage by design? Perhaps she can make some photos so you can make one yourself? (If you're very handy ofcourse he he he)
That's the only solution I have? |

Hi, shells picasso - I'm from Sydney too!!
I understand what you mean by being SO JEALOUS of people who live in the USA. I've seen pictures of those Cages By Design and OMG!! I WANT!! I WANT!! I WANT!!
This is definitely the cage I will be getting for my parrot when he finally arrives.
One thing I'd consider though...because the front and the back panels are solid, there won't be any wire bars on those panels for your birds to climb. Because of this, I believe the cage size required for a cage from Cages By Design would ideally need to be larger than you'd settle with an ordinary cage with wire bars all over, in order to provide adequate climbing surfaces for your bird.
It might be another year or so before I'm finally ready for my parrot but when I do, a cage from Cages By Design will DEFINITELY be the cage I'll be getting for my parrot to call home, HANG THE COST!! If their shipping is way too outrageously expensive, I'm even thinking of having them just deliver to my relatives in the USA and then shipping it over here to Sydney in one BIG SHIPMENT when I've bought enough of ALL THE OTHER GOODIES WHICH PARRONTS CAN GET IN THE USA BUT WE CAN'T GET IN AUSTRALIA!!
I'll make a post when I'm finally ready to order from Cages By Design and maybe other parronts in Australia might want to order theirs as well and see if we can combine our orders to get big savings both for the cages and for shipping. |
