| Help picking the best Lovebird cage, pretty please. |
|
|
I'm going to be getting a Lovebird (Peachface, but not the "regular" coloration) soon and I want to make sure I get a good cage. My baby hasn't even hatched yet, but I am trying to give myself enough time to research and be ready.
So far I have found a cage at petsmart (www.petsmart.com) that I think will be good. It is 14x18x28 (inches; length, width, height) in size and the bars are coated, I think in plastic. The bar spacing is 1/2 inch. Does this sound big enough? I plan on having my Lovebird out every day for several hours, but I want to make sure I get a large enough cage.
Any advice would be great.

The cage width is more important than the height to allow for flying, also check out the acrylic cages, cages by design does some amazing ones that are more like a habitat than a cage. I don't like the powder coated ones even though they look decorative sometimes the coating can flake off. I have the one that looks like it's plastic coated but it's not I find it easier to clean, as for bar width you don't want them to be able to stick their heads between the bars. |
