Picasso loves to pull things apart and check them out, he gets really ingrossed in anything there is a challenge in, he'll pick up a ball with a bell in it and hold it above his head so he can reach the bell having figured out it falls to the bottom, he'll pull the band open on my watch and reset the time (I'm thinking I'll teach him how to use the remote so he can watch telly while I'm out!) Does anyone know of some good puzzle toys? |

Hi Shell,
I find that Apollo is quite mechanical as well. What I used to do was to get a whole bunch of quick links and link them all together in different ways... and a bunch meaning a lot... like 20 - 30, or even more... then I'll hook one to the side. Apollo would spend hours sitting there unscrewing each one of them and releasing the links from each other!! Though he's gotten so good at doing it, I decided to stop giving it to him as it probably take him less time to undo them all than me putting them all together!!! they are way too smart for me. hehehe.... |

They're one of the most challenging ones I have ever seen! |

I'm curious, do birds outgrow being so playful and busy? With Chaquita, cuz she's in her mid 20's, I don't know if she never really had any toys her whole life or what but she's pretty simple in her play. She will play catch with her hair band or just have fun throwing her toys on the floor and I pick them back up and hoot and hollar with her. Other than that she'll look at something and be like "what the heck is that thing?! You don't expect me to do something with it do you?" And she gets into a zone when she chews or rather rubs my t'shirt between her beak. Maybe I need to teach her how to play Kinda sad, ya know? |
