Replacement Parts for Cages  Reply with quote

Does anyone know if it's possible to get replacement parts for cages here in the uk. I've adopted a Goffins Cockatoo called Goffey and the cage he came in is in pretty good condition except that one of the rings that holds a coop pot is missing and I wondered if it is possible to replace it. I think the cage is a Montana cage and I live in the United Kingdom.

It would also be useful to get replacement nuts and bolts that would fit the cages correctly from time to time especially for a Goffins especially locking nuts. It's possible to buy nuts and bolts from DIY/Hardware shops but they are usually a bit too long and difficult to cut to size and I think if they were left too long, in some situations they would be dangerous to the bird and could cause injury.

The bolts are dangerous. Make sure to get stainless stell nuts and bolts for your bird cage.

Thanks for the reply, I have managed to find a coop pot which can be bolted in place and I know that there is a danger in using spare parts which may have zinc, the problem with Goffey is that he can unscrew nuts and bolts and although I can usually find them I would like to find some locking ones that he can't unscrew.
