| Yah my new aviary has arrived!! |
|
|
Hi all,
My birthday was on the weekend which means my new aviay has arrived My lovely boyfriend has spent the last few weeks building it and it looks amazing. It is an all steel construction with a raised floor for easy cleaning and it has features such as:
- an insulated roof to help with our hot weather in summer,
- a misting system hooked up to a timer so they can have a nice shower when its hot and i'm at work.
- a solid door lock with keys to stop people stealing my birdies
- and a feeder attached to the outside to attract some of the natives.
The dimensions are 2MH x 2ML x 0.8MW. I'm so excited. I have put Percy my tiel in plus a pair of budgies and they seem to love it. Hopefully I will have a mate for Percy soon then I will put in some nesting boxes and hopefully I might get some babies in a year or two Anyway I will show you some photo's soon when I get some in batteries for my digital camera. |

Good for you Fi and Happy Birthday!! Sounds great I'd love to do that so the Amazons could be outside, but that's a NO in a mobile home park!! If I ever end up on property again though, I would for the summer, put one out there so they could get their sun and during the hottest part of the day they could be in the shade with a mister too Sounds wonderful! |

Hi there!
Happy belated birthday to you..
What a boyfriend to give you an aviary as a birthday present..
It sounds like a wonderful one, and very luxurious.. A misting system that works on a timer. How cool!
Do you have some photos yet? |
