There's this pet store called Trent Pet in a mall and the animals are treated terriabley. The cats and dogs are kept in tiny cages and they are from puppy and kitten mills. The birds are stuffed into cages with too many other birds. I saw a tiel with a plucked area on his head. So I phoned there and they're like "Oh it's just a fledgeling". Well, how come there are no other plucked birds in there then, and they're all about the same age?
And there's a worse pet store too. I forget the name, something with superstore. Again, puppy and kitten mill pets, sick animals, dead fish in the tanks, overly crammed bird cages and mostly plucked, bored birds. One zebra finch had a totally bald back. the parrots had no toys, just wooden dowel perches. They were all upset and sick there, it was even worse than Trent Pet. |
