Bracken Bird Farm  Reply with quote

Braken Bird Farm is another good place to go. They carry the Magnolia Bird Farm brand of feed. They are located at 10797 New Jersey St in Redlands, Ca. phone number (909) 792-5735.They also can be viewed at brackenbird.com/bbfstore for those out of the area. They raise their own birds & have a few large outdoor aviarys (some you can walk through). Mr Bracken is usually there & is very nice to deal with. They have been family owned for many years. They have alot of other animals you can feed also from Turkeys to a Brahma Bull & even a camel. Kids love it.

I do know this "store" -- I grew up in Southern California and lived in Redlands for 5 years. The place is wonderful. It feels more like a farm (as the name states) and I mean that in a good way! They have many birds and the outside avaries are very cool. I only visited it a few times and it was before I ever owned a bird but I was impressed. I will definitely visit this place again when I go to visit my family in California.

I work close to bracken's bird farm in Redlands. When I say close, I mean when you leave my office complex the back way, our driveway dumps you striaght into bracken's driveway across the street.

They have extremely good service and offerings, I own an african gray parrot, and we bought him a new cage there. Well-made cage, pricey at $300 but worth it considering the lifetime i'll (hopefully) get out of it.

They have two african grays in the lobby in a floor to ceiling aviary named Cracker and Scarlet, once a week after work i'll go and visit cracker. Cracker is quieter and more subdued than scarlet, even though scarlet is the female and Cracker is the mail.

So that's not necessarily a review of bracken's bird farm but to get back on point, the people are welll-informed and friendly, i've never toured the outdoor aviary, but they have good prices on perches, seeds, treats, playpens, etcetera. WAY better than your big-box retailer pet stores. nice solid wooden branch-perches are 5-6 bucks, sometimes as high as 12 bucks for the 36" perches.

ANybody have any more questions about the bird farm I'd be glad to respond if you PM me.
