Had anyone ordered from Exotic Wings & Pet Things? They have a very large selection of parrot stuff. They sell a 5lb bag of Harrison's for $37.99CND! I'm just wondering how much the shipping is.

Well, I answered my own question. It's $7.56 to ship it to my place. That makes it about $4 less than what my vet charges and that's not including the money and time spent driving their cause its about 30 minutes away. They say shipping takes about 5-7 days, which isn't bad. So for anyone in Ontario, Canada, do check it out!

Where is your vet?? The vet that I buy it from is in Oakville, and it costs $56 for a 5 lbs bag Confused And it's about an hours drive for me!

About the web order, the shipping may sound little, but they might charge you C.O.D when they deliver it. Because I sometimes order from an American Website (bird safe store) and the price is $28 US, and shipping is the same as you said, but when it got to my house, I had to pay another $55 to the delivery guy for a customs charge or something like that. I think the way do avoid that C.O.D charge is to order by express shipping where it doesn't go through customs, which costs a lot more, and ends up being about the same as if you get it locally.

I get my pellets at Burloak Animal Hospital. Though the ride is scenic thanks to Bronte Creek, I prefer not to waste the time and gas. Yeah exotic wings is in Ontario. They also have lots of nice toys too.

Oh, hehe, I get my food from Burloak also, I guess you were saying the price without tax. But, yeah, that's an hours drive from me Shocked I think it would definitely come out cheaper if I order it from the site you recommended. Thanks again! Oh and yes, I noticed they have a wide variety of toys and things, I wonder if it might be worth it to make a trip over there one day.

I was actually calculating the price of the food from Exotic wings with tax and the price with tax at the vets. With shipping it comes to $52 at Exotic Wings and $56 at the vets. From Mississauga, Exotic Wings is about an hours drive.

Oh, ok, yeah I see where I went wrong in the calculations. I didn't add tax to what you originally posted, so I was getting $45.55 as the total for the Exotics wings order.

So if it's an hour's drive from you, then it's probably around an hour and 15 mins to an hour and a half for me. Not that bad Very Happy .
