yeah......
the whole situation is fishy.....
I wouldn't have a bird sent to me in a plane or anything like that....
if it was in another state I would drive there to pick it up...or not buy it.
because if planes are delayed, they just leave the animals in the cargo holds even in freezing temps. and no one goes to check on them for food or water or anything....
yuck. that's a super bad idea.... |

I would not do this myself, I agree with everybody instinct on this. But let me put a word or two in for the other side, just in case somebody has to ship a bird. The cargo hold the ship aniamls in is pursurize (sp) and heated, they take speical percautions with aniamls and follow instruction if tagged as such. They do ship aniamls on a daily bases without undo harm. Me I would be more scared of how the bird would react to such a thing. The rescue that I work with is thinking about providing some of the birds that are not able to become pets again to a sancuartary (sp) in CA that is going to be opening soon with almost 100 archs of land. They are not a bird sancuatary (sp) they have recieved a grant from the Gov to breed animals back to their orginal blood line. They do not want the birds as breeding stock. Anyway we have been researching ways to get them out there and this is one. They would have to be there when the plane landed....
I hope this helps

alot of times...unfortunately....I base my opinions of things on the worse case scenario and horror stories.......
but I am working on being more positive with my outlook on life.....
but after being cynical for quite a long time......it takes time... |

Lynzie you are too young to be so down. You must keep a positive outlook. At least you have your birds to cheer you up. How can you be down when you look into the face of your little feathered baby? Just remember they need you and you need them. |

Thats the way to view things. Keep positive and remember when feeling down, just look into the faces of your sweet little birds. |

Luke I see ads like that all the time, it's nothing unusual. The part that says we ensure you return our incubator obviously makes it fake. Who would lend out a free incubator? And how did they get exactly 35 eggs from each species? |
